Hudson is 14 months old!

Hudson turned 14 months old on September 10th. I can hardly believe it has been two months since his birthday. I think the time just goes faster and faster the older he gets. This is going to be a long post since I am wanting to keep track of his typical day at different points.

A day in the life of Hudson:
-He wakes up between 6:30 and 7:00(lately it has been around 7:00 more often than not).
-He has a sippy cup of whole milk(6 oz) as soon as he wakes up and we go for a run. He has breakfast after our run around 8am. He always has fruit and then we alternate between oatmeal, waffles and pancakes. He just isn't a big fan of eggs right now.
-He goes down around 9am and for the most part will sleep between 1 to 1 1/2 hours. But, there are some mornings that he will not nap and I think he may be trying to give up his AM nap.
-After the nap, we play and run errands, have play dates or meet friends for lunch. He has lunch around 12pm which consists of yogurt with pureed fruit and veggies and usually some type of sandwich with a sippy cup of whole milk(6 oz).
-If he didn't take a morning nap, then I put him down between 12PM and 1PM. He will sleep anywhere from 2-3 hours. But, if he took a morning nap, then I don't put him down until around 2:30 and his nap is usually 1-2 hours.
-When he wakes up, we go to the park and play or play at home until it is time for Daddy to get home.
-Hudson has dinner at 6PM and he eats his veggies first(broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and asparagus are his favorite) and then will normally eat whatever we are having for dinner. He also gets another sippy cup of whole milk(6 oz).
-After dinner, he plays with Daddy and then Daddy gives him his bath and gets him ready for bed.
-Ross reads to Hudson and then puts him down around 7:30.

Some of the things that Hudson is doing at 14 months:
-He normally runs now instead of walking.
-He has conversations with himself that we can't understand yet, but he is talking up a storm.
-He will repeat everything you say and is also trying to communicate with us. I was getting water one day and he came up to me and pointed to the refrigerator and said water indicating that he wanted some.
-We look at a lot of picture books and we can ask him where something is in the book and is able to point to the object.
-He can climb on and off the couch by himself and loves to do that.

As soon as we open the refrigerator door Hudson can't wait to get inside

Hudson loves beans!!

  1. All the pictures are precious, but I love the one of Hudson in the refrigerator and the one where he is peeking out of his hat. What a cutie.
