Hudson, Aunt KK and I set out on what I felt like was a trip around the world for Labor Day weekend. We left Austin Thursday morning and drove to Beaumont to see my grandmother, dad, lots of aunts and uncles and some of my closest friends. We had a wonderful time and Hudson loved being there. My dad spent every waking moment with him outside and he had the most fun dragging a broom around. I am not sure he played with a single toy while we were there. The broom was his favorite thing. Go figure!! I loved spending time with my grandmother and always leave there wishing I lived closer. I miss her so much and always enjoy our time together. She is one of the most amazing women I know. I have learned and continue to learn so much from her.
We left on Saturday afternoon to go to Houston to see Mimi and some of our other friends. We loved our visit with her and always hate to leave there as well. Goodbyes are always so hard for me! Mimi watched Hudson one evening while my sister and I met some of our friends. We were at the restaurant for 3 1/2 hours. We had so much to catch up on. I miss my girls and just love our time together.
Ross enjoyed his weekend hunting with his dad and friends, but I think we were both glad to be home.
